  　　The University Arts Festival is supposed to provide the students a platform on which they can not only show off their talents of arts , their capabilities and intelligences in organization and cooperation , but also can have a chance to know each other better , thus enhance their friendships . To make the arts festival more lively and colorful and in order to meet the aims of holding it, there are several aspects we should pay attention to.
  
  　　First , the arts festival should be widely ranged according to the various interests of students, such as singing , dancing , instrument playing , drama performing , chess playing , drawing , calligrapher , photographing , cooking and so on ,so that every student may be able to find something that he is interested in and take part in it . It is a good chance for the students to stimulate their interests in arts and expand the range of their knowledge.
  
  　　Second, the arts festival should be organized in different forms, such as performance, lectures and shows. For example, there should be a stage on which students can sing, can dance and perform whatever they are interested in according to the program list made by their own. But only performance on the stage is not sufficient for an arts festival. There should also be some lectures given by artists and professors on art knowledge and the important relationship between art and life. Besides, some shows of drawings, photographs and calligraphic works are essential. We can show the students’ works on campus and ask the passers-by to vote for the best ones. In this way, students can compare and see the good points and bad points of themselves and other fellow students. They can also share their ideas with each other and thus improve their communicative skills.
  
  　　In other words, university arts festival should not only give the students a chance to appreciate different arts, but also provide them a platform to learn, to communicate and to entertain. The essence of arts festival is to enhance the college life and to benefit university students spiritually.
