       As is known to all, literary works don’t have accurate criteria. So the relationships between writers are very complex. Shen Congwen and Ding Ling are just like this.
       Shen and Ding both came from Hunnan province. They were good friends and lived together with another famous writer Hu Yeping in 1920s.These young prople were ambitious to make achievements in writing field. They built deep friendship.
       Unfortunately, Hu Yeping was killed by the Kuomintang in 1931.Two years later, Ding Ling was under arrest in the same way. After eacaping, she went to Yan’an. And in there she became pursue revolution literatures. Thus the gulf between these two persons developed greater and greater, and the conflicts seemed to be hard to compromise.
