关于汽车与环保的(Automobiles, love them or hate them)

•      Automobiles might be one of the greatest inventions of the 20th century. They have greatly sped up the tempo of our daily life, contributed to the fast economic growth, given momentum to scientific and technological development and substantially changed the landscapes of many countries by demands more and more roads and highways.
  At the same time, automobiles have also brought about several negative effects to the earth. The most significant and urgent one is the deterioration of our environment. With innumerable emissions from billions of automobiles, we are nearly suffocated by the toxic air.
